She describes her style as Naïve, romantic and vintage. The concept of her work is design, comfort and quality. She doesn´t follow any trend. She likes to create things that have something to communicate, a feeling, a state of mind or a state of heart. Her shoes are a reflection of her rich personality, a woman with a very particular biography.
About Chie Mihara
Born in Porto Alegre, Brasil, in 1968, of Japanese parents. Second of three sisters she Lived in Japan from age 18 to 22. After graduation Chie Mihara worked for Junko Koshino for two years as an assistant. At age 22 Chie Mihara moved to New York to Study accesories design at F.I.T. mainly shoes and handbags.Interned at Eneslow and orthopedic shoe store where she learned a lot about the foot and it's problems. She Worked for two years as the shoes and hanbag designer for Sam & Libby and At age 27 Chie Mihara moved back to Europe and Spain where she eventually worked for Charles Jourdan.In December 2001 Chie MIhara finally launched her own line which is now recognized worldwide. She likes to work leather with handcrafted details. She admires the artisan work and “living” the creative process of each piece. She likes her pieces to 'go life' and make them unique. Since an early age, she dreamed her personal brand, and she never let that out of her sight.
